Manchester United U21s 3-2 Tottenham U21s
20th May 2013 9:16pm BST
Manchester United Under-21s came back from two goals down to beat Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s 3-2 at Old Trafford in the final of the Premier League.
Spurs started the brighter with Jonathan Obika and Harry Kane hitting the woodwork twice within the first 25 minutes. Just before the half an hour mark Obika then headed Spurs in front after beating United goalkeeper Ben Amos in the air.
Three minutes before the break the Lilywhites doubled their advantage when Obika’s low cross found Alex Pritchard who fired into the bottom corner.
But United staged a second-half three-goal comeback to win the tie. A minute before the hour mark Marnick Vermijl pulled one back for the Red Devils before Larnell Cole put the sides level with 74 minutes played.
Two minutes before the final whistle Cole grabbed his second of the evening and United’s third to win the final.
